It’s a call to take a break from what’s normal on earth so we can enter into what’s normal in heaven.

DESCRIPTION:Sign up to provide hot meals to the homeless in Greater Bridgeport on a specific day during “Square Up for Others” C.O.P. Week\, Monday\, September 8th through Saturday\, September 13th! \n\n\n\n“Square Up For Others\, Inc.” is a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit volunteer-based organization that feeds the homeless and remains in their corner. \n\n\n\nTheir mission is to address food insecurity and homelessness in the Greater Bridgeport\, CT area. “Square Up For Others\, Inc.” pursues their goal by providing hot meals and housing support services to individuals in need. \n\n\n\nThey are unique in their approach. By serving hot home-cooked meals\, it shifts a person’s mentality from defensive to welcoming. These shifts allow the Square Up For Others team to establish a better connection in a shorter period of time. Utilizing existing relationships with organizations also helps “Square Up For Others\, Inc.” to reduce the time spent on getting individuals the help they need. Once their team has established a foundation\, “Square Up For Others\, Inc.” works hard to ensure they connect individuals to the correct resources that can help transform them into productive citizens. “Square Up For Others” has helped 162 people (and growing) secure housing. \n\n\n\nWatch this video to learn more about “Square Up For Others”. \n\n\n\n*Please see Pastor Gilberto or Elder Cathy Plaza this coming Sunday to sign up for a day during the week of September 8th – 13th to prepare and package meals for the homeless or to donate towards this cause. DESCRIPTION:Min. Valerie Wilson and Min. Jada Hatchett will be traveling to Ghana Africa this coming June\, 2025! They will participate in street evangelism\, school outreach projects\, community mission projects and more. The team is currently collecting items to create care packages to be distributed to students in Ghana! They would like to create 100 packages for girls and 100 for boys. Please see the list below of what items are needed. There will be a box located in the Narthex to receive your donations. Thank you for your support: \n\n\n\nITEMS NEEDED FOR GHANA MISSION:(Backpacks\, School Supplies & Travel Size Toiletries) \n\n\n\nSchool Supplies: Boys & girls backpacks\, rulers\, erasers\, pencils\, pens\, school notebooks and pencil sharpeners. \n\n\n\nGirls Travel Size Toiletries: women’s deodorant\, toothpaste\, toothbrushes\, mouthwash\, lotion\, wipes\, washcloths & hand sanitizer. \n\n\n\nBoys Travel Size Toiletries: men’s deodorant\, toothpaste\, toothbrushes\, mouthwash\, lotion\, wipes\, washcloths and hand sanitizer. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to support the mission trip with a financial donation\, you may give online through our website (Click on “Give\,” and then choose “Global Mission – Ghana Africa 2025” from the dropdown menu).
